A moment of serenity
If peace and happiness exist, it’s surely in Genneville that you will find them!
This house is a haven of peace and tranquility in an exceptional environment typical of the Normandy countryside. Located in a valley in the heart of the countryside and on the edge of a forest, the tranquility is absolute! I renovated this family home in an authentic vintage style with the help of a decorator friend. South-West facing, sunny all day long.

The Property
Since its renovation, we have spontaneously named this house "the house of happiness" because it feels so good here. Located in the heart of the countryside and on the edge of a forest, its location is exceptional. Here, you will only hear the sound of nature. The ponies, who live here year-round, add to the charm and picturesque nature of the property. They will ask you for carrots!
The sunset over the hill opposite where the cows live is an amazing moment. "The house of happiness" is truly poetic. It echoes my fondest memories, the joy of sharing special moments away from modern times.
The walks from the house on the country paths are numerous and beautiful.
The House
Most of the walls have been knocked down to create an open space between the living room, dining room, and kitchen, which directly open onto the south-facing terrace. The stove, found at an antique dealer, is functional and provides great warmth.
Most of the furniture consists of old pieces renovated with Farrow and Ball paints, which contributes to the authenticity of the place. The dining table can seat 10 people (table with built-in extensions). A high chair for a baby is available for your use.

Bunk beds (90 x 190), accessible by a small staircase, ideal for younger children.
Country bedroom
Double bed (160 x 200), direct access to the garden, perfect for waking up with nature.
These two bedrooms (south-facing) are interconnected and offer a peaceful setting with views of the garden and nature.
First floor :
Blue bedroom
Double bed (160 x 200), spacious and bright.
The attic space, TV area & mezzanine
A versatile space with:
- 1 mezzanine bed (140 x 190)
- 2 single beds (90 x 190)
- A TV and relaxation corner for children, and a play area equipped with Playmobil, Kapla, and a school desk.
It should be noted that this "attic & mezzanine" space is an open area, without a door.
